Zindagi aik aziyat hai mujhe,
Tujh se milne ki zaroorat hai mujhe,

Dil main har lahza hai sirf ek khayal,
Tujh se kis darja mohabbat hai mujhe,

Teri surat teri zulfen malbuss,
Bas inhi cheezon se raghbat hai mujhe,

Mujh pe ab faash hua raaz-e-hayaat,
Zeest ab teri chahat hai mujhe,

Tez hai waqt ki raftaar bohat,
Aur bohat thori si fursat hai mujhe,

Saans jo beet geya beet geya,
Bas isi baat ki kulfat hai mujhe,

Aah meri hai tabassum tera,
Is liye dard bhi rahat hai mujhe,

Ab nahin dil main mere shauq-e-visaal,
Ab har ik shai se faraghat hai mujhe,

Ab na woh josh-e-tamanna baqi,
Ab na woh ishq ki vehshat hai mujhe,

Ab yunhi umar guzar jaye gi,
Ab yehi baat ghaneemat hai mujhe..
